The Education Market

Since 1986, APT has held the exclusive franchise for Telecor integrated communications systems, due to our outstanding reputation for uncompromising service in the education market. These systems offer features developed specifically to meet the unique needs of educational environments, such as networked integrated intercom, paging, clock, media retrieval, video and telephone.

The Telecor Crisis Notification System (CNS) is a flexible and comprehensive communications platform that provides a means for broadcasting announcements to students, faculty, staff and visitors. CNS can alert everyone in a school or the entire district to an emergency that is imminent or in progress, and instruct them on how to respond.

Telecor also sets the standard for life safety communications systems with their SB40 NEMA standard call-in switches. These switches display a confirmation light on the switch to confirm to the person placing the call that the call-in was received by the system. Normal call switches can make emergency call-ins, while cabling and switches are constantly monitored for operational status. If the equipment or cabling fail at any time, the failure is reported to the system.

APT currently holds the largest Telecor territory in central and eastern Texas, servicing the entire Austin and Leander Independent School Districts, as well as over 25 other districts across the state.
